Once your films are edited and ready to go (about three weeks), we’ll send you an email with a download link. We highly recommend you back up your films in at least two different places - we’ll keep them backed up for six months, but after that, it’s all yours!

We use modern Panasonic camcorders. This way we’re able to ensure they’re as reliable as possible (within reason - see “what happens if something goes wrong?” below) while still giving you that camcorder look, with all the movement and zoom ins of 90s home videos. We add the vibe in editing (you can choose from 90s, modern, or black and white) so that you can get the vintage look you love while not having to worry about a 30 year old camcorder breaking down!

Not at all! These camcorders are set up so that a kid could use them (which we highly recommend at the reception - they get some awesome table interviews (and also a few shots of feet…), and our tutorials will help even the drunkest groomsman get the best/worst footage. This is not going to be a professional video (if you’re looking for that, check out our cool older cousins, Paper Heart Films), and that’s a huge part of the appeal.

Yes, kind of! For your teaser film, we exclusively use music that we can properly license, so that we’re not stealing from musicians and your film isn’t getting taken down off the internet (and no one gets sued). That being said, we have a big library of songs from our licensing site for you to choose from, so you can make sure you get the fun/silly/romantic/70s/90s/etc. vibe that matches your day perfectly.

This is perfect for you if you’re looking for documentation that’s fun, happy, silly, and maybe a little unhinged. You’re up to embrace the imperfect and aren’t looking for a professional product - you’re pumped to see all the crazy things that get captured when a camcorder is passed around your friends and family. This is not perfect for you if you have a very specific vision in mind, have super high expectations about what will be captured or the quality, are looking for high quality audio of your ceremony or speeches - if this sounds like you, you’re likely looking for a professional wedding film! To start, we use new camcorders and always include extra batteries and cards (which we regularly test and maintain) to make sure that everything is in tip top shape. But shit happens! If something seems off about your camcorder, first of all, try changing out the battery and the card. If that doesn’t fix it, call the support number we sent you. We’ll do everything we can to fix it, but if it can’t be fixed, we’ll refund your money. This isn’t something we anticipate happening, but unfortunately is part of the risk of not having a professional there with backup equipment. If you’re super nervous about that, you can always add a second camcorder to your order (which also allows you to film in two places at once, like getting ready or while you’re taking photos at cocktail hour)!

Maybe! If you have a videographer booked for your event, that’s awesome. You’ll get professional coverage of your event and likely you can get full coverage of your speeches and ceremony with great quality audio (something our camcorders just can’t provide). But, you also might want a camcorder for those other moments - getting ready at 9:00am before your videographer arrives, the BBQ the night before, or the after party when your videographer is long gone! Talk with your video team about how this could compliment your coverage.

We ship anywhere in Canada! Let us know where you’re located during the booking process and we’l set up a delivery to your address. Cameras are shipped priority, tracked mail and must be shipped carefully because of the lithium ion batteries. We’ll arrange return shipping so all you have to do is put the camera back in the box when you’re done and send it back to us!
